Set in 1935, John Buchan's The 39 Steps, adapted by Patrick Barlow, is a hysterical, high speed, melodramatic comedy written in the Hitchcock style. The hero of the story, Richard Hannay recounts his breathtaking adventure fighting the criminal underground organization "The 39 Steps", leading the audience on a journey across Europe taking the audience along for high speed chases, romance, death defying stunts, and runaway trains across 4 countries, 5 languages and love lost and found again. Four actors portray150 characters in this delightful, fast moving hilariously funny comedy.
The show will be presented in Seneca Falls at the Douglas Avery Performing Arts Center, Mynderse Academy on April 29, 30 and May 6, 7 at 8pm and May 1 at 2pm
